The Studierendenwerk Koblenz is responsible for the social, cultural and economic assist and support of the students in Koblenz, Remagen and Höhr-Grenzhausen. The idea of student aid has a long tradition. Due to the difficult economic situation, students, teachers and representatives from business and politics founded the first associations as early as the 1920s. "...so that studying succeeds!", describes our goal, which we are pursuing today as a modern service provider with a legal mandate.
We are there for the students
We base our actions on the needs of the students. With inexpensive canteen food, affordable housing, flexible childcare, individual advice and cultural support, we create the conditions for successful studies. We offer special support to those who study under difficult conditions. The sun in our logo stands for our claim to be there for the students and everyone else on campus. We encounter them openly, imparially, friendly and respectfully.
Quality is important to us
Quality plays an important role in our offers. We constantly review, reflect and develop our work so that it does justice to our target groups and current standards. The continuous further training of all employees is an important key to success. We see mistakes and dealing with them as an opportunity to develop and learn.
Trust is the basis
Mutual trust creates the basis for open and fair dealings with one another. Regular communication ensures that conflicts are identified and resolved promptly. Value-oriented and constistent management makes it possible to establish reliability while at the same time promoting the personal responsibility and creativity of the epmloyees. Decisions are transparent and understandable for everyone.

For us, all employees are equal as human beings. We consider our individual diversity as an enrichment of the company. Everyone contributes to the overall success with their differences at the different places of work of the company. Whether educator, dishwasher or manager - we complement each other with great respect and mutual appreciation. A tolerant attitude strengthens us in our dealings with different people. We work networked in the region and beyond. We maintain an intensive exchange with the universities, politics, the student committees and the other student unions. We work together in partnership at all levels to achieve better conditions for studies, students and student life.

We work in a university-related and therefore future-oriented environment and consequently have a special responsibility. We are a role model for sustaninable action that combines economic, social and ecologic issues. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that students have appropriate living conditions and creative freedom after their studies.
These principles form the guidelines for our actions. We commit ourselves to observe these guidelines in our daily work, to regularly review and develop them and ourselves. The students and all employees of the Studierendenwerk Koblenz are included in this process.
