Sometimes studying can become challenging. The stress of learning, getting used to a new environment or making new friends is demanding. But when fears and worries become constant companions, it's time to make a change!
Do you have questions, worries, problems, or simply need someone to listen and talk to? Then contact the tutors in your student hall! They are your first point of contact and not only have an open ear for issues in everyday student life, but also help you with personal matters. They also know the appropriate counselling and service centres that can help you with your concerns.
"Tutor next door" is a supportive offer by students for students. This makes everyday life in the student residence even more personal.
What are the tutors doing?
- They are there for you, no matter if you have stress in your studies or your family, if you are worried about the future or if you just want some company
- They organise group activities such as hikes, (online) game nights or parties
- They strengthen the community in the student halls
The tutors will keep you informed about upcoming dates and events by e-mail, by post in your mailbox or via a notice on the wall.

"Hi, I'm Lara, 22 years old and I've been studying Social Work at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences since March 2021. I moved to Koblenz from near Augsburg for my studies and now live in the ‘Simmerner Straße’ hall of residence, where I am also a member of the hall of residence council. In my free time, I regularly go hiking and swimming and enjoy reading. I am a tutor because I want everyone in our hall of residence to have a contact person who they can turn to with questions and problems. I am also keen to strengthen our community through various activities, such as joint walks or excursions."

"Hey, I'm Tim, I'm 21 years old, and I started my studies for a high school teaching degree in maths and history at the University of Koblenz in autumn 2020. At the same time, I moved into the student hall "Auf dem Hellen Weyer". In my free time, I like to play video games, watch anime and play volleyball in the university sports club. I'm also a member of the "Auf dem Hellen Weyer" student hall council. I'm a tutor because I want to strengthen the cohesion in the student halls with events like game nights."

"Hey, I'm Ahmad, 21 years old and I've been studying medical technology at the HS Koblenz location in Remagen since September 2022. Originally I'm from Syria, I've been living in Germany for 6 years and I'm currently in Remagen in the residential complex "Von-Cramm-Straße". In my free time I like to go for walks with friends and of course to party.
My hobbies are playing basketball, boxing and I have to admit that I like binge-watching.
As a tutor, I wish that no student feels left alone. I want to make others feel like they always have someone they can ask for help when they are struggling or just need someone to talk to.
