Location
The student residence "Auf dem Hellen Weyer" is located in the Metternich district of Koblenz, directly opposite the university campus (approx. 250 meters on foot). The RheinMoselCampus of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences in the Karthaus district is approx. 5.5 kilometers away. A bakery is in the immediate vicinity. The banks of the river Moselle can be reached on foot in a few minutes. In addition to several water sports clubs, there is also a beach bar with stand-up paddleboard rental (only open in summer).
Connection
The bus stops "Universität" (lines 4/14 and 5) and "Uni/Winninger Str." (Lines 3/13 and 4/14) are right in front of the student hall. From there you can reach the city centre and the main train station in about 15 to 20 minutes.
Housing types & rental prices
The student residence "Auf dem Hellen Weyer" offers a total of 191 living spaces, most of them in single apartments. There are also shared apartments for 2 and 4 people, some flats for single parents with children and two single apartments that are barrier-free. You can rent parking spaces in the underground car park or in the outdoor parking lot separately.
Rental prices:
- Single apartments (18 m²): 335 Euro
- Flat share (12 to 14 m²): 280 bis 288 Euro
- 2-room apartments for single parents with children (37 m²): 371 Euro
- Deposit: 800 Euro
- Parking space (car) underground car park: 18 Euro
- Parking space (two-wheeled vehicle) underground car park: 8 Euro
- Outdoor parking lot (car): 10 Euro
The rental price includes water and energy costs, hall cleaning as well as internet flat rate (LAN). There is a usage fee for the washing machines and tumble dryers in the shared laundry room.
The ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio broadcasting fee is not included in the price. This must be paid separately by each resident to the relevant authority. WG residents share the fees.

- own shower/WC
Shared aparments:
- One kitchen per shared apartment with 2-plate cooker, sink and fridge with 3* freezer compartment (in shared flats with 4 people, the kitchens are larger)
- One bathroom with shower/WC per shared apartment (in shared flats of 4 people there is also a guest WC)
- Each flatmate has their own separate room

Furnishings
The rooms and apartments are furnished with a desk with desk drawers and chair, a bed, a bookshelf, a storage chest and a wardrobe.
You should bring a mattress (200 x 90 cm), bedding, towels, dishes, cutlery and cleaning agents with you.
