Student halls of the Studierendenwerk
With a room in a student hall, you get the opportunity to live inexpensively and at the same time get to know many students and quickly make friends. In our four student halls with a total of 581 places, we rent furnished single rooms or rooms in shared flats, all close to the university, with calculable all-inclusive rents. Our student halls are located on the University Campus, the RheinMosel Campus and the RheinAhr Campus. We also provide flats that are tailored to the special needs of students with disabilities or students with children.
You can find an overview of all Studierendenwerk housing complexes, detailed information and the online application here!
Catholic student hall
The Catholic student residence is located in the Karthause district, not far from the RheinMoselCampus.
All further information can be found on the website of the Catholic student hall.
Protestant Student hall
The Protestant student residence is also located in the Kathause district. The RheinMosel campus can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, and there are also good bus connections.
All further information can be found on the website of the Protestant student hall.
Online Housing Exchanges
If you are looking for a flat or a flat share online, you will be confronted with a multitude of websites. If you are still looking for a flat in Koblenz and the surrounding area, we can recommend these online housing exchanges, among others:
1. Online Housing Exchange of the Studierendenwerk - here, the Studierendenwerk compiles an up-to-date collection of available shared flats, 1-room flats and flats in Koblenz, Remagen and Höhr-Grenzhausen.
2. wg-gesucht - together with wg-suche, this online platform is one of the most used. Here you can find numerous offers.
3. immoscout24 - Immoscout offers an overview from a wide variety of platforms. But there are also advertisements here, so take a look!
4. HousingAnywhere - Still haven't found a room to rent? At HousingAnywhere you can find flats for rent!
"Wohnen für Hilfe" (Housing for help)
With the “Wohnen für Hilfe” (Housing for help) project, we are promoting a special form of shared living in cooperation with the Caritasverband Koblenz e. V. (Caritas Association Koblenz): housing partnerships that go beyond the usual shared flat life.
The idea behind "Wohnen für Hilfe" is very simple: people who have free living space in their flat or house offer students a roof over their heads - rent-free! In return, the students support and help with smaller everyday tasks. The students pay the additional costs themselves.
The rule of thumb is: one hour of help per month per square metre of living space.
Care services are excluded, but otherwise anything the two flatmates agree on is possible: Shopping, housework and gardening, socialising, housekeeping and much more.
All information about "Wohnen für Hilfe", the application form and contact details can be found on the website of Caritasverband Koblenz e. V. You can find current housing offers from "Wohnen für Hilfe" in our housing exchange!
Moving checklist
Moving away is always a challenge. There are numerous to-dos and things that should not be forgotten under any circumstances. The website of the Rhineland-Palatinate Consumer Advice Centre helps to create an individual checklist for the move so that no important date or to-do is forgotten.
